The 3rd VPH Summer School will be held in Barcelona, Spain, on June 18-22, 2018. This 3rd edition will focus on data integration, model verification and validation
CompBioMed will be collaborating with the VPH Institute for this Summer School in Barcelona. They will be involved in a hands-on session:
Electrophysiology simulations in a fetal heart, imaged using micro-ct synchrotron imaging – Patricia Garcia Cañadilla (Barcelona MedTech – Physense, DTIC-UPF), Constantine Butakoff (Barcelona Supercomputing Centre), Jazmin Aguado-Sierra (Barcelona Supercomputing Centre)
The participants will work in groups on implementing the whole EP simulation pipeline starting from image segmentation, fiber extraction, mesh generation and finishing with the electro-physiology simulations. The participants are expected to learn the basic steps and requirements for setting up the simulations and get a hands on experience with running simulations on the HPC. The simulations will be carried out using Alya multiphysics simulator developed by BSC.
